Chinook are the largest of the Pacific salmon, which is why they are also known as King salmon. Containing the highest levels of Omega-3s compared to other salmon, their flavor is rich and buttery.
While salmon are endangered, primarily due to land management and dams, conservation groups recognize that sustainably managed fishing by local communities is an important part of pushing for the kind of changes we’ll need to make to truly improve wild salmon waterways and habitat throughout the NW.
